Hi I have a 49cc pocket bike and I want to install a gas gauge on it. How do I install one? Do I need something to make it work, and I found a gas gauge thats especially for pocket bikes on this website http://www.pocketbikeparts.com/Speedometer_p/krsd302498.htm. Plz help me!

Well, for a start, the link you’ve given leads to a speedometer, not a gas gauge. If you look further down the page and click a few more times you can find a gauge cluster, but it doesn’t look like it has a gas gauge in it (and the description is non-existent, you only have the photo to go by). Assuming you actually manage to locate a gas gauge for a pocket bike (and I can’t imagine why you would need one) I suggest that the answer to your question is – follow the instructions in the package.

Are a couple of pocket bikes that ARE street legal, they meet all requirements. Not any “mini” pocket bikes that I know of are though.
the pocket bikes that are legal are 110cc and larger then the mini ones though.

Pocket bikes are merely motorized toys and a waste of YOUR money.
Pocket bikes are not street legal. Nor are they legal on sidewalks, bike paths, bike lanes, alleys, and public parking lots. ONLY legal on private property with owner’s consent.
I would never do business with a company that has an F rating by the Better Business Bureau. That alone should be your first clue pocket bikes are junk and both companies will not back their product.
Strongly suggest saving your money for a real motorcycle when you are of driving/riding age.

chain is numbered like 40 chain this is the size but as others have said the bicycle chain is not designed for the torque your pocket bike puts out. in a pinch you can but baby it or it will brake.

I want to know, how do i fill up the fuel in this?
My dad has a two 6 gallon gasoline containers for the car and our lawnmower. Can i just fill in regular unleaded gasoline from one of those containers?

Orite mat yh looks like a nice bike but no you would need to mix 2 stroke oil with that. when you resive the bike is should come with a mixing bottle witch basicly does it all for you exsept you shake it to mix it and pour it in the bike

No you can’t as it is a two stroke. You need two stroke pre-mix. All the info you need is on your link.

Nope. They are equipped with 2-stroke motors which means they require a small quantity of 2-stroke oil mixed in with the gas (this is known as premix).
Just get your own fuel container for making and storing your premix. Choose a different size/model than your dad’s so that you won’t accidentally confuse the two and end-up putting straight gas in your mini. BTW, premix doesn’t keep that well, so a smaller container is better then a larger one. You can always refill your smaller container from your dad’s big one (not forgetting to add oil) ;D.

Regarding your first question, the RX1 will go off road kind of. This is a very small mini bike with a very small engine. Bike is not designed for much more than a back yard trail.
As to the GP RS-R, don’t buy. The motorized toy is not street legal. Nor is it legal on the sidewalk, bike path or lane, alleys, and public parking lots. Only legal on private property with owner’s consent.
As to either bike, reliability is poor at best and repair parts are very hard to come by.
Save your money for a real bike made one of the big four Japanese motorcycle makers.

Can you clarify some points? This ‘pocket bike’ is perhaps a electric motor only something or other that is advertised as suitable for 12 year olds/kinder and older riders? It has no gasoline motor? Does the manufacturer advertise this as street legal or is it a toy/recreational vehicle not allowed on roads and not licensable? If it is set for a 12 volt battery and low speed motor restricted to under 20mph then that will be maximum speed- some toys are restricted to under 10mph by local laws. How fast does it go now? Does your state restrict speed to about what it is currently doing? Not much you can do legally.
If you want to do some minor electrical work and use 2 smaller batteries with a reostat in series to get a 24 volt system powering the 12volt motor you can get a little faster top speed- this is basicly what electric golf carts do, a battery pack with relays to get multiple batteries in series totally 8/16/24/32 volts depending on throttle position with a reostat fine speed control. Get back with clarified question- may have better answer.

you will be better off not messing with it !!!!
my buddy bought one to take to bike parties and payed more than I thought he should have he took the governor off and burnt the motor up the first day its on there for a reason.
After all it is only 49 cc what do you want from it.
