Question by jaggernaut101: spark plug is getting ate up?
I have a mini bike (pocket rocket) and every time I put a new spark plug in something tears it up. It’s like something is smashing it. Could someone please help…

If it looks like something is hitting it (side, bent electrode smashed down against center electrode), the the “reach” is too long, and you need a shorter plug length.

If something is “smashing” your spark plugs, there are only 2 things that would cause this….
1 you have the wrong length spark plug (too long)
OR
2 You have a bad rod bearing and/or wrist pin bushing, allowing the piston to travel too far upward and hit the plug
