you guys…. don’t laugh, he’s being serious,

here’s what you do
1) wait for your balls to drop so you can handle this kind of thing.
2) buy a CBR, R6, Gixxr, whatever suits your fancy over 600cc’s
3) teather the pocket bike to the real bike and drag away, bet you could get 150 if you have a newer bike!

Answer by bikinkawboy
I was thinking about some smart answers also, but I think enough of them have been said. You must keep in mind that with only 49ccs to work with, you don’t have much to work with. Actually, at 40 mph I think you’re doing pretty good. My buddy’s 13 year old son has one and 18-20 mph is about all the better it will do. 125cc isn’t that big, but physically you may have a problem getting it to fit. I expect the drive chain is bigger and you’d have to change rear sprockets.

Then again, mating a hot 125 to that little thing might create a real fire breathing horse that can’t be tamed, so be careful. Like Frankenstein’s monster, it might be too beautiful and misunderstood for this world and you’ll have villagers chasing you with pitchforks and torches.

You are going to have to do some serious modifications to get your bike to go as fast as you want. What motor does it have? What size is the motor? Need more details.

Answer by bill k
Trade it in on a Harley

Answer by Young
LOSE WEIGHT!!!

Answer by kevin s
you arent gonna achieve 50mph with a pocket bike unless its higher than a 110cc, a 50cc engine can hit maximum speed of like 40mph, tops.. you want to get a HP air filter, NGK bpm7a plug, and HP spark plug. that will increase your power by hell loads!!!!for sites parts look at the source.make sure u [pick right catagory and if u find no part call the site(s) listed for you..

I Have a 110cc Fighter Super Pocket Bike, How Do I Get It to Go Faster?

Question by Ryan M: I have a 110cc fighter super pocket bike, how do i get it to go faster?

I bought a 110cc fighter pocket bike and its supposed to go 50+mph but it only goes about 35. I called the people up and they said its supposed to speed up over time. Is this possible cause if it is ill just let it speed up on its own but if not how do i make it go faster?

Best answer:

Answer by yesiknow
check where you bought it fro it may have a governor restricting it from going over 35.

Answer by guitardude_15
as yesiknow said, alot of times bikes are set with a limiter until it is properly broken in, and when you have ridden enough the limiter will cancel and you’ll get the full speed of the bike.

Answer by Nate S
Sounds like they are yankin your chain (no pun) with the whole, “speed up over time thing”. Yes, every motor goes through a break in period, and yes after the break in the motor will be smoother, more effecient, and higher revving, but you aren’t going to see a 30% increase in top speed. If its top speed you are looking for, a very easy and cheap modification is putting a smaller sprocket on your back wheel. Take your old sprocket off, and bring it to a motorcycle shop, ask them for one with 2-3 teeth less. Keep in mind this is going to reduce acceleration, but it sounds like you are all about top speed. If you are willing to spend a few hundred, look into aftermarket exhaust systems and air filter (twin-air or uni brand) in combination with your smaller sprocket. It might be tough to find a purpose built exhaust for your bike, as most of those pocket bikes have no-name Honda copy motors. You might need to retro-fit an exhaust. Look around, talk to people at a shop.

Answer by GeoB
It should go a lot faster than that, depending on gearing. Maybe it is geared too low for a fast top speed.

I think you can get a lot of good ideas and help from
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/honda_clone/messages or similar.

Do a coupla searches on google and yaho groups. lotsa stuff out there.

Techinally, there are SO many possible reasons your bike doesn’t go faster, can’t hardly narrow it down w/o more info.

If you are going to be riding this kind of bike, you will need to become a pretty good mechanic yourself, unless you are rich.

Have another more experienced pock bike rider ride yours, he may be able to give good feedback.

Bye a 110cc (or higher) boar kit for your bike and it should run better, but you can only boar it out several times.

How Can I Make My Pocket Bike Faster?

Question by EDSTER: How can i make my pocket bike faster?

I got a used pocket bike and it is my first one and it goes alittle slower then i thought it would be is there any way i can make it faster? (gas powered) idk the brand or model

Best answer:

Answer by Samuel M
First, Take The Body Panels Off And Spend A Bit Getting Familiar With The Engine. Make Sure There Are No Governers Or Throttle Limiters On It. (I Had A TL On Mine).
Out On A Limb But, Nitrous Always Speeds Everything Up. Just Mix It With The Gas/Oil And She’ll Pick Up A Little Better. Or You Can Rebuild It With Better Parts, Swap The Engine… Anything You’d Do To A Real Car Or Bike. It’s Just Cheaper And Smaller. If You Are Serious.
Just Never, Ever Mess With The Exhaust Pipe. I Did And I Got More Torque (For Wheelies) But, Lost 12 MPH On The Top End.

Best answer:

Answer by efu
less

Answer by Skull
Smaller sprocket in rear, or larger sprocket in front.

Answer by stangdriverus
Less. The smaller the sprocket the faster it will spin.

Answer by Barry C
less teeth will give it more bottom end more teeth higher top end its up u what u want out of it

Answer by solara437
Depends on which sprocket you’re talking about, less teeth on the rear will give you more top end, but less acceleration.

Answer by guardrailjim
Less in the front and/or more in the rear = quick acceleration from a dead stop. Slower top speed.
More in the front and/or less in the rear = slower acceleration from a dead stop. Faster top speed.

Change the gearing (sprocket size)

Answer by Bandett
you can buy some little nitro bottles to hook up to it,, google it.

Answer by flubster666
chuck it off a very tall building! If you are serious i doubt after market mods are available in all honesty

Answer by kgsgolf
Go downhill.
Grab onto a Ferrari’s bumper.
Lose weight.
Add more air to your tires. A lot!
Use a sail, hope for wind.
Drive in opposing traffic lanes. You won’t actually go faster but it will seem like it.
Put on bus bike rack, ride bus.
Carry bike, run fast.

Answer by Josh H
I’ve done this before. Upgrade your airfilter, Get a larger diameter carb. and upgrade your exhaust. Big Bore kits are AMAZING and if you can hook up a nitro bottle, that would be sweet too. Run higher octane fuel, and also change your sprocket size. Keep in mind, you may lose acceleration when you do this

Good luck! :)

Answer by PonyDriver
Replace the bike with a REAL motorcycle. It will go faster

If an Electrical Pocket Bike Battery Dies Out, Can a Faster Battery Work on It?

Question by shortywebberdv: If an electrical pocket bike battery dies out, can a faster battery work on it?

My pocket bike battery ran out. I was wondering if a battery that is faster than the normal one will work.

Best answer:

Answer by Dan W
There are no Faster batteries. Use the same voltage, 12VDC, and get the biggest that will fit the box.

Answer by Frank B
Agree with the first answer… there isn’t a “faster battery”, You can find some with higher capacity but they won’t be faster, they’ll have more cranking power.

I would suggest you check with your local Batteries Plus store. If you need battery enhancement, they’ll sure have all the answers and the products you need.

Answer by Lizbeth
You can get a more powerful battery but it will have to take the same voltage… You can get a battery with more mili-amps.. Lets say if your battery currently is 12 volts 5 amps… You can buy a 12V 9 amps battery.. As long as you can get it to fit you can use it and you will get more longevity out of your pocket bike. Here is a link to a picture along with the store that sales them for cheap.
