Hi I have a 49cc pocket bike and I want to install a gas gauge on it. How do I install one? Do I need something to make it work, and I found a gas gauge thats especially for pocket bikes on this website http://www.pocketbikeparts.com/Speedometer_p/krsd302498.htm. Plz help me!

Well, for a start, the link you’ve given leads to a speedometer, not a gas gauge. If you look further down the page and click a few more times you can find a gauge cluster, but it doesn’t look like it has a gas gauge in it (and the description is non-existent, you only have the photo to go by). Assuming you actually manage to locate a gas gauge for a pocket bike (and I can’t imagine why you would need one) I suggest that the answer to your question is – follow the instructions in the package.

Just got a pocket bike it has 2 chains on it, one snapped. Can u use a regular bicycle chain or is it too thin and break?

You can….but, you shouldn’t. Yes, they will break. Not designed for that much torque.

chain is numbered like 40 chain this is the size but as others have said the bicycle chain is not designed for the torque your pocket bike puts out. in a pinch you can but baby it or it will brake.

motorized bicycle google subject for info–then you can sell it for some bucks—should be able to use many parts from the pocket….small motor works great. some are friction drive some are to drive sprocket–If you put it on new bike could sell for good$ ,, now give me my points for best answer.

I weigh about 110 will this actually go off road? or am i better off just buying the GP RS-R?

Regarding your first question, the RX1 will go off road kind of. This is a very small mini bike with a very small engine. Bike is not designed for much more than a back yard trail.
As to the GP RS-R, don’t buy. The motorized toy is not street legal. Nor is it legal on the sidewalk, bike path or lane, alleys, and public parking lots. Only legal on private property with owner’s consent.
As to either bike, reliability is poor at best and repair parts are very hard to come by.
Save your money for a real bike made one of the big four Japanese motorcycle makers.

Can you clarify some points? This ‘pocket bike’ is perhaps a electric motor only something or other that is advertised as suitable for 12 year olds/kinder and older riders? It has no gasoline motor? Does the manufacturer advertise this as street legal or is it a toy/recreational vehicle not allowed on roads and not licensable? If it is set for a 12 volt battery and low speed motor restricted to under 20mph then that will be maximum speed- some toys are restricted to under 10mph by local laws. How fast does it go now? Does your state restrict speed to about what it is currently doing? Not much you can do legally.
If you want to do some minor electrical work and use 2 smaller batteries with a reostat in series to get a 24 volt system powering the 12volt motor you can get a little faster top speed- this is basicly what electric golf carts do, a battery pack with relays to get multiple batteries in series totally 8/16/24/32 volts depending on throttle position with a reostat fine speed control. Get back with clarified question- may have better answer.

I would go with the super minibike myself out of those choices, but I like my 1986 Honda quadbike. It’s not a full size, but it’s not mini either. You know, I think I’ll go try to fix that sometime this week.

I am thirteen and is interested in pocket bikes. I was wondering how to ride a pocket bikes. Do you need license to ride a pocket bikes. I am new to pocket bikes. When I read the information about pocket bikes, I really don’t get it. And how do you make your pocket bike better like make it look cool. And where can I learn more about pocket bikes(website). 1. Put your clothing on,suitable for your pocket bike ride. Also make sure that you don’t forget to wear protective gear such as; helmet,protective pads,gloves etcetera.
2. Set yourself as comfortable as possible on the bike, make sure that your sit relaxed on the bike.
3. Get the bike started. Set the bike on the choke for about 2 to 5 minutes so allowing that the bike warms up.
4. Get on the bike and give it a little bit of throttle. Make sure that you don’t over do it,but enough that the bike doesn’t lose its revs and stops on you.
5. You can practice on on a circuit or track. Doing this will get you used to the feel of the bike and also build confidence.

No, since they are not street legal. This means you can’t ride it on the street even if you had a license. Since you will have to stick to private property and parking lots, you can’t be ticketed for not having a license.

Depends on which pocket bike your getting. I got an electric one (lame) and it was quiet. I only read around the neighborhood though. Gas ones are probably still only smart to ride around the neighborhood. Ive never gotten complaints about the noise.

Well the only thing you can see of a pocket bike when someone is on it is the wheels. I guess you can dress up the wheels, after you get out of the hospital. Those tiny things can kill you quick. And they are illegal.

On your own property they are not street legal.
Saying that the Corell Centre or what ever it is called now has a big honking parking lot that isn’t being used for much, most of the time. But you may run afoul of the trespassing laws

It depends on the model of Lexus you’re thinking of; they don’t all have the same size trunk…, but probably yes.
Those pocket bikes are really tiny. If there is any gas in it, you had better remove the tank to tranport it upright., otherwise it’s very likely to leak. Your best bet is to actually drain the tank first.
